Mass murder in the skies: was the plot feasible?

Another bunch of BS from Tweedledum and Tweedledee - but we all knew that much even before we knew the science:
The Register - Making a quantity of TATP sufficient to bring down an airplane is not quite as simple as ducking into the toilet and mixing two harmless liquids together.
First, you’ve got to get adequately [...]

The U.K. Terror Plot: What’s really going on?

Craig Murray is the former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan, ousted for having the temerity to object to the obscene, medieval torture perpetrated on the Uzbek people by the US backed Karimov administration
I have been reading very carefully through all the Sunday newspapers to try and analyse the truth from all the scores of pages claiming [...]

Neocon “Logic” at work

WASHINGTON -
President Bush said Monday that
Israel defeated Hezbollah’s guerrillas in the monthlong Mideast war and that the Islamic militants were to blame for the deaths of hundreds of Lebanese civilians…

Tasini v Clinton: the next battle for the soul of the party

It’s abundantly clear from the Neocons reaction to Lieberman’s defeat that the DLC are basically neocons in drag. Introducing the opposition: Jonathan Tasini. The primary is next month so progressives need to get organised.

They’ll be able to use their degree certifcates as wrapping in their branch of Maccas. Of course what this policy really [...]

Retroactive War Crime Protection Proposed

Smell like Fascism yet?
Common Dreams - The Bush administration drafted amendments to the War Crimes Act that would retroactively protect policymakers from possible criminal charges for authorizing any humiliating and degrading treatment of detainees, according to lawyers who have seen the proposal.
The move by the administration is the latest effort to deal with treatment of [...]

Transatlantic Rat Smelled

Does anyone actually believe this? Another expedient alleged threat. Expedient for Lieberman and the DLC too if anyone doubted they were on the same corporate payroll (hence Cheney’s supportive remarks). Surely this tactic must be past it’s use-by date by now. Even regardless of whether it was real or something Bush and Blair cooked up, [...]

Israeli Pilots ‘deliberately miss’ targets

While the conscience of the individual still overrides their orders there is hope:
At least two Israeli fighter pilots have deliberately missed civilian targets in Lebanon as disquiet grows in the military about flawed intelligence, The Observer has learnt. Sources say the pilots were worried that targets had been wrongly identified as Hizbollah facilities

If the American people don’t take a leaf out of Mexico’s book soon It’s going to be too late.
MiamiHerald.com - The White House is seeking legislation that would allow people not affiliated with terrorism to be prosecuted in military commissions — with far fewer rights than afforded civilians.
Washington Post Service

GOP Donors Funded Entire PA Green Party Drive

Smell a rat??
Every single contributor to the Pennsylvania Green Party Senate candidate is actually a conservative — except for the candidate himself.
